The modern circus arts reach the Casino Vilamoura with the performance “Divine Comedy”. Inspired in Dante Alighieri’s famous medieval masterpiece, “Divine Comedy” is a grand epic poem, recreated on stage by an excellent group of dancers and acrobats, interpreting their vision of Dante’s world. It starts with the descent to hell to end with the magnificent glorification of Paradise.
The plot is about Arlecchino who discovers a surprising book “The Divine Comedy” and perturbed by its verses falls into an agitated sleep which takes him on a voyage through hell where he will be tortured by Diavolo. This nightmare will turn into a voyage through paradise where Arlecchino will be led by the angels to Columbina with whom he will fall in love. The atmosphere is of festivity and joy, culminating in a magnificent and acrobatic final dance.
